Catching up...

Wow...sorry it's been a while. We've been busy enjoying Holiday festivities and spending time with our family. This is our family pic from Thanksgiving. We went to Star Valley this year and loved every minute! Thanks Grandma for always being such a great host...we love you.

Are you ready to see America's up and coming PLUS SIZE MODEL...

That's right ladies...he is currently 4 months old and weighing in at 20 lbs.-100th percentile!

Over Thanksgiving he discovered his tongue. We love it!
I still don't know how I feel about his new 'do'...the party in the front bald in the back look just had to go! He is still happy and smiley as ever.

Our sweet Cici girl just had her second birthday last month. Other than the messy face I love this pic that my sis in law took. A few milestones that Cecilia has hit...she is now potty trained and is building her vocabulary daily. She is becoming such an expressive talker...I love how her voice is constantly fluctuating! We love you Cici girl...better late than never right?

Happy Halloween

Cecilia (the princess), Samson (the giraffe), and Maximus ( a power ranger)

Just thought I'd post some pics of the kids from last night. It was pretty low key...we just went and trick or treated at a few of the coaches houses and around their neighborhoods a little bit. I'm not a big fan of a ton of candy, but hey the kids have to get the REAL experience of trick or treating. I really am NOT a huge trunk or treat fan!

Happy 4th Birthday MAX!

The kids had such a great time at Max's little Halloween birthday party. Max is growing up so fast. He is currently obsessed with any kind of super hero and of course still LOVES playing any sport or game with a ball! Here are a few pics from his party. My mom was kind enough to dress up as a witch and read a few stories.
Max was kind of a mixture of X-men and Batman and Cici the princess!

of course...carnival games! It was music to my ears to hear all of those sweet kids laughing like crazy! Thanks again to all of you who helped out.

face painting, check out Frank's pumpkin. We joked that he should be strength coach by day and face painter at night!! ~ Good part time job :)

Pumpkin decorating. Check out those ScArY teeth!

Happy Birthday Max...we sure love you and appreciate all you do for our little family!

Just getting BiGGeR!

We just love our little "Fat Boy"

Check out all those squishies!

Best buddies! Max says he can't wait for Samson to grow up so that they can Box! WATCH OUT!

5 years and Sam's new brace

Frank and I just celebrated our 5 year anniversary. We didn't do much because we went to Mexico in May to celebrate. With a 2 month old you really can't do a whole lot. We went to Hamilton's for dinner and enjoyed a nice night out! What can I say? I LOVE him! I appreciate all that he does for our family. He is a great husband and father. So...5 down and eternity to go! Hopefully life just keeps getting better...I love you Frank!

Little Samson is officially out of the casting phase of his club foot. He has graduated to a bar brace! That thing is such a pain. He has to wear it for 3 straight months and then just at nights until he's one. I really shouldn't complain though because his foot will be good as new before he is even crawling or anything. Thank goodness for technology and research!

What a hard life! He is so tuckered out that he is drooling all down Frank's arm! :)

one more thing...I cut my hair, but don't have a pic yet...photo coming soon!

Free and Fun

The other strength coaches wives and I had a great little get together the other night. We created an almost FREE craft project, so I thought I would share. My friend Jackie supplied almost the whole thing. I had a few things to throw into the pot like glitter spray, paint & brushes, and raffia. Anyway… this is what we did: (sidenote...mine is not hung up yet so that you can see it a little better in the picture)
1- Jackie had her husband cut up these wood scraps and then she primed them
2- Jackie went to the canyon and picked leaves and then put modge podge on them so that they will stay beautiful and shiny . (p.s. they need to dry overnight)
3- Then we got together and put our creativity to work. It was so fun to see how everyone’s turned out…they were all so unique. I wish I had pics of the others.
4- instead of ordering vinyl lettering Courtney came up with the genius idea of using sticks for the lettering. How appropriate for fall time…I loved it!
5- Anyway…everything is just hot glued on. So EASY! And it was a fun night out with the girls. Try it out with a few friends and see what you can create.
Close up of one of the sides...the leaves are so beautiful at this time of year!
And last but definitely not least...my chunky boy turns 2 months old tomorrow. TIME FLIES!

HAPPY FALL!

Will they stay or will they go?

Samson is now 7 weeks old and still has BLUE eyes.
Check those bad boys out.

What do you think...are they gonna stay? I'd love to have one blue eyed BABE so that I'm not the lone ranger in our family!

"Gotta Love Little Boys"

My friend Emilee emailed this to me and I had to share...I got a good laugh out of it!

Gotta Love Little Boys

Two young boys walked into a pharmacy one day, picked out a
box of tampons and proceeded to the checkout counter.
The man at the counter asked the older boy, 'Son, how old are you?'

'Eight,' the boy replied.
The man continued, 'Do you know what these are used for?'

The boy replied, 'Not exactly, but they aren't for
me. They're for him. He's my brother. He's four.

We saw on TV that if you use these you would be able
to swim and ride a bike. Right now, he can't do either one.'

Family update

So here is a little update of our little or "not so little" family...

Samson is doing great! He is quite the eater. He is such a sweet little guy, he really only fusses when he is hungry. This is a picture of him with his little cast on for his club foot. I have to get it changed weekly for 6 straight weeks. Kind of a pain, but for sure worth it! It's nice to get it over with now, than later when it would affect him much more. He continues to bring smiles and laughter to our home on a daily basis.

Cici girl cracks me up. She is so sweet, but also kind of a stinker. DRAMA! We love her so much. She is really showing signs of wanting to be potty trained, I am just not quite ready to face the challenge. Hopefully we'll get it taken care of sooner than later. We'll see...with 3 kids I'm having to find a totally new routine.

Max...such a sweet big brother! He is kind of a pest to Cici though, I think he thinks it's his job to tease her all day. He is SO excited to start preschool next week, as am I. He thrives in a learning environment.

Alright well that's it for now. As for Frank and I...we are surviving! BUSY BUSY BUSY Frank started his masters this week and is so busy training all of the athletic teams up here. I was thinking today while I was in the shower...Wow you know you are busy with 3 little kids when it's been like 3 or 4 days since you've shaved your arm pits because you are trying to hurry so fast in the shower. HA HA HA what a wonderful life...I really wouldn't trade it I promise!

our precious little guy

We can't get enough of him! Who could resist that curly hair and newborn smell? We all absolutely adore him. There really is something special about having a new little spirit in your home.

HE'S HERE!!

SAMSON KITIONE MAILE
Born on August 10th at 9:07 p.m.
weighing in at 7lbs 7 oz. and 20 1/2 inches long

his poor face got so beat up because he was posterior. POOR GUY! Frank says it looks like he lost a boxing match. The doc said the bruising should be significantly better within the next few days. Just thought I would post something quick to let you all know that he's arrived. We are both doing great...life is just a little crazy right now with three kiddos. I'll post more later. Max loves him to death and can't get enough of him and Cici...she's kinda struggling with the whole attention thing. She'll adjust soon enough though--hopefully! :)

Good Friends

WOW! I have truly always been blessed with great friends. That's one thing that I love about summer, it seems like there is always a little more time to catch up with friends you don't get to see very often. This first pic is of my roommates and I from my freshman year in college. So much fun! They are all such amazing examples to me! I hope we continue to plan at least a yearly get together, if not more often.
p.s. keep in mind I am nine months pregnant, so obviously these pics are not very flattering...I just wanted to have these pics of my cute friends for the memories!

Aleese and cute little Barrick and Frank and I and our kids met up at Red Robin for lunch. We missed Scotty (one of Frank's mission companions). I am so glad I got to see them while they are in town from Maryland.

Later last night I went to Julie's baby shower. SO good to see a ton of my high school friends! I swear I'm not anti social, but it's been way too long since I've seen these ladies! I think about 5 of us are pregnant right now...CrAzY!
ChEeRS to good friends...let the good times roll!

Wedding Bells

My cute little brother Stewart got married this past Saturday in Salt Lake. We had a great time as a whole family. It was wonderful to spend time with all of my siblings from everywhere. No more crazy hectic weddings for my family...we are complete now! YAY!

These are all of my siblings and their spouses. From top to bottom we have my brother Matthew and his wife Karen (from Hawaii), my sister Michelle and her husband Dan (Portland), my sister Jessika and her husband Jason (Florida/Ohio), Frank and I (Logan), and my brother Stewart and his new wife Rachel (San Diego).

p.s. Don't you love her dress? Good choice Rachel!
After a long night, we took one quick pic before they were off. You can tell we were all exhausted at this point, except for the energizer bunny (aka: Maximus)

Congrats you two and welcome to the family Rachel!

Family fun and baby update!

So this is a little late because I didn't take my camera for the 4th of July. I had to get some pics from my cousin. Anyway...we had a blast in Star Valley. This is some of my mom's extended family. Also a family from Belgium came up with my aunt and uncle. It was great getting to know them and have them join in on the fun!

These are the teams from our annual "sockey" match. Basically it's soccer but kind of more violent like hockey. You play bare foot and pretty much anything goes.
My uncle requested a side shot so there you have it. My cousin Brynne wishing she could be as big and uncomfortable as me! :)

My baby update: I went in today and have not progressed at ALL. Not even to a 1 yet. Bummer. If things keep up like this I'll probably be having the baby around August 10th. We just started to organize his stuff last night. It's becoming more of a reality that I need to get his stuff put together. Fun Fun!

Joys, Fears, Goals, Obsessions/Collections, Random Surprising Facts

JOYS

1. My husband and kids…the way they love me! I really love every single hug and kiss. Priceless! Oh and did I mention their laughs and smiles…I’m a little obsessed.
2. Sitting on a beach with no agenda…just hangin’ out. PURE BLISS!
3. Chocolate Peanut Butter Haagen-Dazs ice cream.

FEARS

1. Not a big fan of most reptiles. I think it’s mostly a texture thing, but they really kinda freak me out!
2. Losing one of my family members unexpectedly and/ or having to raise my family on my own. Don’t know what I would do without Frank…I really love every square inch of his big ol’ body!
3. Having some major complication with this pregnancy. I think everyone gets some kind of fear like this when their PREGO.
P.S. only like 6 weeks to go!

GOALS

1. To raise my kids without any regrets. Time moves along quickly and I just don’t want to waste away any of my precious time with them. Easier said then done on some days, but I always try to keep this goal in the back of my head!
2. To attend the temple more often. I only live like 5 minutes away…what a blessing! I need to take advantage of it while we are still living in this area.
3. To beat Frank in a mile race! My goal right now is 6 months after I have the baby… we shall see.

OBSESSIONS/COLLECTIONS

1. Making sure my kids have clean clothes on. Some days I change Cici’s clothes like 3 or 4 times because I can’t stand seeing a messy shirt. This can make for a lot of laundry, but it’s worth it to me. Trust me they are totally normal kids and sometimes they sure look like ragamuffins!
2. Chapstick and lotion - don’t know what I would do without these necessities!
3. Bargain shopping. This is a good and bad habit all in one. If I see something on too good of a deal, I can always think of someone that could use it. Not saving me any money. I do have to say though…I’ve found some dang good deals! It would be fun to be someone’s personal shopper so it’s on their tab and not mine!

RANDOM SURPRISING FACTS

1. My little brother is getting married this summer and that completes my side of the family as far as in laws. Hopefully there will be plenty more nieces and nephews to come!
2. I’m a tigers blood and cream kinda girl when it comes to snow cones. Always have been and always will be!
3. Love, Love, Love the summer! Wish it were warm all year long.

Have a great day!

I tag: Maureen, Jessika, and Karen

my cute T-Ball boy!

Max is loving every minute of T-Ball. It's pretty cute to see a 3 year old get so into it. Most of his little teammates are 5 and 6, but he's catching on pretty quick. They play 3 innings where everyone on the team gets a turn to bat.
A quick shot before the game.

Up to Bat!

Watching the ball from the outfield. He stopped a grounder last night and threw it all the way to 1st from between 2nd and 3rd. He was SO happy! Keep it up Max...we love watching you!

funfilled day outside

We had quite the day on Wednesday. Max has been in a little preschool co-op with some of my friends and this was our last day, so we went to the little Willow Park Zoo and had a picnic and played at the park. Fun Fun!This is supposed to be a class picture. I love it because it really shows all of the kids personalities. Kids are too cute and funny! From left to right we have: Adeline, Libby, Max, Ian, and Alisi.

Cici LOVES the swing, especially when Adeline was pushing her. Thanks for your help Adeline!

Later in the afternoon we went up the canyon and brought smores and tin foil dinners with our friends Jess and Gary Wilkinson. The kids were having fun throwing rocks in the water with Frank. This has to be one of my favorite things about Logan...You can get up to a spot like this in a matter of 10 minutes from where we live.

The campfire crew. I can't wait to do this more often this summer!

Max biting into his smore creation. He had a lot of fun, and seriously was an awesome hot dog roaster...he had the rolling the stick thing down to a science!

So now I have a question for you...What are some toppings that you like to put in your tin foil dinners? Everyone makes them a little different and I am interested to hear some other options! p.s. ours were awesome Jess and Gary...thanks again!

Not getting any younger...

So yesterday, I turned 25. I know you're all probably thinking "oh my goodness she is still so young and she is already going to have three kids!" Don't worry those thoughts have crossed my mind too. I really wouldn't change it though. I love my little family and am so grateful for all that they do for me! Frank planned out with some of our neighbors to come over for cake and ice cream. Tayli made this cute 2 layer cake, and of course it was rainbow chip...I told my mom when I was younger that I wanted to have rainbow chip cake for every birthday until I'm a Grandma. Thanks to Frank for making me feel special and appreciated I love you!

Max and Cici sure enjoyed the cake! Max even picked some of his piece off of the floor and shoved it in his mouth...like he wouldn't get any more. Funny kids!

Relaxing in Mexico

Frank and I had such a blast in Mexico! It was a much needed break after getting through school and football. We were finally able to spend some good quality time together without any distractions. It made me realize how important it is to focus on each other. It seems like everything we do day in and day out is focused around the kids. As fun as it was we sure missed our kids though...GO FIGURE! This first pic is us just waiting for our dinner reservation. The dinners were great, we had Italian, Mexican, and one night was steaks on the beach!
This is a view of one of the 4 pools we could swim in. This is mainly what Frank and I did...we would go hangout on the beach and in the ocean occasionally, but we were mainly hangin out at the pools. So fun! Everything was so well kept and beautiful.
We always went for a stroll on the beach after our dinner, a good way to work off those extra calories I guess. We just stopped some random local to take our pic. Franks Spanish came in handy quite a few times. P.S. My belly just keeps getting bigger everyday now...I'm wondering what I will look like by August.

Frank and I were eating at the buffet one night and all of the sudden all of these men walked in to add some culture to our dinner. They were great! The man on the very right was right by my head. We didn't stay much longer because it got REALLY loud, but it was cool!

Us waiting in the hotel lobby for the bus to pick us up and take us back to airport. It was a great break, but by this point we were pretty stoked to get back and see our kids. Thanks again to both of our families for pitching in to watch those crazy munchkins...I know they are a handful. Until our next break we'll enjoy the memories we just made!
