Happy Halloween

Just thought I'd post some pics of the kids from last night. It was pretty low key...we just went and trick or treated at a few of the coaches houses and around their neighborhoods a little bit. I'm not a big fan of a ton of candy, but hey the kids have to get the REAL experience of trick or treating. I really am NOT a huge trunk or treat fan!

Happy 4th Birthday MAX!

The kids had such a great time at Max's little Halloween birthday party. Max is growing up so fast. He is currently obsessed with any kind of super hero and of course still LOVES playing any sport or game with a ball! Here are a few pics from his party.

My mom was kind enough to dress up as a witch and read a few stories.

Max was kind of a mixture of X-men and Batman and Cici the princess!

of course...carnival games! It was music to my ears to hear all of those sweet kids laughing like crazy! Thanks again to all of you who helped out.

5 years and Sam's new brace

Frank and I just celebrated our 5 year anniversary. We didn't do much because we went to Mexico in May to celebrate. With a 2 month old you really can't do a whole lot. We went to Hamilton's for dinner and enjoyed a nice night out!

What can I say? I LOVE him! I appreciate all that he does for our family. He is a great husband and father. So...5 down and eternity to go! Hopefully life just keeps getting better...I love you Frank!

Little Samson is officially out of the casting phase of his club foot. He has graduated to a bar brace! That thing is such a pain. He has to wear it for 3 straight months and then just at nights until he's one. I really shouldn't complain though because his foot will be good as new before he is even crawling or anything. Thank goodness for technology and research!

What a hard life! He is so tuckered out that he is drooling all down Frank's arm! :)

Free and Fun

The other strength coaches wives and I had a great little get together the other night. We created an almost FREE craft project, so I thought I would share. My friend Jackie supplied almost the whole thing. I had a few things to throw into the pot like glitter spray, paint & brushes, and raffia. Anyway… this is what we did: (sidenote...mine is not hung up yet so that you can see it a little better in the picture)

1- Jackie had her husband cut up these wood scraps and then she primed them
2- Jackie went to the canyon and picked leaves and then put modge podge on them so that they will stay beautiful and shiny . (p.s. they need to dry overnight)
3- Then we got together and put our creativity to work. It was so fun to see how everyone’s turned out…they were all so unique. I wish I had pics of the others.
4- instead of ordering vinyl lettering Courtney came up with the genius idea of using sticks for the lettering. How appropriate for fall time…I loved it!
5- Anyway…everything is just hot glued on. So EASY! And it was a fun night out with the girls. Try it out with a few friends and see what you can create.

And last but definitely not least...my chunky boy turns 2 months old tomorrow. TIME FLIES!

Samson is now 7 weeks old and still has BLUE eyes.

My friend Emilee emailed this to me and I had to share...I got a good laugh out of it!

Two young boys walked into a pharmacy one day, picked out a
box of tampons and proceeded to the checkout counter.
The man at the counter asked the older boy, 'Son, how old are you?'

'Eight,' the boy replied.
The man continued, 'Do you know what these are used for?'

The boy replied, 'Not exactly, but they aren't for
me. They're for him. He's my brother. He's four.

We saw on TV that if you use these you would be able
to swim and ride a bike. Right now, he can't do either one.'

4/15/10: Max- Sis you don't know what you're talking about, I am the boss of my Star Wars game!
Cici- Oh yeah...I am the boss of my carrots!
1/11/10: Tonight while we were eating dinner Cici was taking all of her pepperoni off her pizza and putting it one my plate, then came the cheese, so I went ahead and wiped the sauce off with a napkin so it didn't make a big mess. She gave me this grossed out face and said,"Now my pizza is naked mom!" Max and I got a good laugh!
11/28/09: I was asking Cici who was excited for Christmas as we were setting up the tree and she said,"I am, and Max is, and Samson is, and my big HUMONGOUS Daddy is!"
11/18/09: Cici comes to me with the bottle of hand sanitizer, "Mom I need some hanitizer."
10/30/09: Cici said the other day in the car,"Mom, Grandma Brynne drives so so so so so so SSSooooooo FAST!" I loved the picture in my head of Cici feeling like she's in a little rocket ship or something.
9-24-09: Max-"Oh Darnksters" for Oh Darn. Love it!
1-21-09: Frank and Max have decided that when they wrestle, it's "the king and the fat boy" vs. "the boy and the feather" I always crack up from the other room when I hear Max saying to Cici..."Come on Feather let's get the king!"
1-3-09: Max said during his prayer..."please bless those people that don't have a house, or chicken to eat."
12-12-08: I gave Max some cereal in one of our glass bowls instead of his plastic ones because they were all dirty and Max said, "Yipee, I get a human bowl."
11-17-08: Cici is starting to say her own prayers. My all time favorite is the way she says Heavenly Father it sounds like: "Heavetebede Fada" SSOOOOO cute!
7-23-08: This morning I was getting ready for my doctor's appt. and Max asked me when this baby is going to come out of my tummy. I told him probably in a few weeks and he said..."Oh I know, why don't you count to 5 and then he can come out!" If only child birth were really that easy!
7-13-08: Up to this point Max has been wearing "tightie whities," but he just graduated to big boy boxer brief underwear. He wasn't so sure of them at first because he said they were shorts not underwear, but then he realized they were way cool when he said, "Hey me and Daddy have the same underwear!" Close but not quite! :)
6-13-08: I love Cici's sweet voice saying "pease" and "tank oo." She is a very polite little lady most of the time!
5-26-08: Lately Max has been saying as he points to each part..."Eyes, ears, mouth, Tongan nose, UNIBROW!" Then he cracks up laughing. It's hilarious and so true...he's definitely got quite the unibrow to show off!
4-15-08: Cici absolutely loves to blow bubbles while in the bathtub, "bubble" is actually one of the few words she says! She also loves to click her tongue all day long.
4-8-08: Max randomly asked me about John the Baptist after talking about Jesus' baptism he said oh was he nice? I said Yeah he was a very nice MAN. He said "oh I know what starts with man...MANNERS" it was so random and funny! I'm happy to see him catching on to some of the things I've been trying to teach him.
3-29-08: Max came and laid flat on top of me on the couch and I said...Max be careful you're going to smash the baby in my tummy, he promptly said, "I'm not smashing it, I'm keeping it warm!" What a nice brother. :)
3-4-08: This morning I had to go up to campus with my two kids to turn in a group project report. Anyway, when we got in the building I said Max let me show you where the elevator is so that you can push the button. He said, "Mom the alligator is far away...I love to go up, up, up on the alligator!" Funny boy! He knows what an alligator is so maybe he thinks that word has two meanings. who knows?
2-25-08: my two favorite things Max has been saying lately are...instead of forget he'll say "mom don't getfor me!" and also he says out of the blue "I love you too momma!" even if I haven't said I love you...I love it!
2-13-08: The other day Max came up to me out of the blue and said, "Mom, I need some LOVES!" It made my day because he is not a snuggler.
2-13-08: Cici loves dancing to any music! It is so cute to watch her in the shopping cart at the store dancing to the background music.
